5 best websites that dog owners will want to bookmark

It’s hard to imagine life without the Internet now. With a few taps of a keyboard you can find the answers to pretty much any question you may have. If you’ve cared for dogs all your life, you may already have a great knowledge base for dealing with training issues or illness.  However, there are always things that crop up that you’ve not come across previously where a little additional advice is needed.  There are some really helpful websites for helping people new to pet parenting and those who are experienced but are encountering something new.

PetMD

For us, there is no substitute for a consultation with your veterinarian if your dog is unwell or you have particular concerns about his development or wellbeing. But if you are looking for a quick answer on topics such as caring for your dog’s teeth or how often to walk your dog for example, a reliable resource is PetMD. The articles are written by veterinarians and are also reviewed by veterinarians, so you know you are getting sound information.

CesarsWay

I’ve recently finished a course of puppy training classes with the new furry addition to our family.  He’s really thrived on those training sessions, so I’m on the search for further dog training classes that we can attend on a regular basis. In the meantime, I’ve found the training advice given by dog whisperer Cesar Millan on his website CesarsWay incredibly helpful.

Travall

Finding a secure way to travel in the car with your dog is essential. The Travall website is a really good resource. Simply enter your vehicle details in the website vehicle selector and you’ll be shown all the Travall products available for your vehicle to drive your pup securely and in style.

Bring Fido

If you’re looking for a website that shows dog-friendly hotels, restaurants and more, look no further than Bring Fido. It’s a very useful website whether you’re at home, planning a dog-friendly vacation or on the road with your pup.

The American Kennel Club

This website from The American Kennel Club is a fantastic resource for everything dog related. From finding the right breed for your family needs, to getting full information about breeds, and care and training tips. It’s a regular must-read for dog owners in the US. Oh and check out their TV channel via the website too!
