We always hope that the unthinkable won\u2019t happen. Unfortunately, natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, wildfires, and floods are extremely hard to predict, so although no one would want to be in such a situation, it is definitely advisable to have a plan in place just in case. \u00a0In the wake of the ravages of tropical storm Harvey wreaking havoc in the Houston, Texas area, with storms such as Hurricane Irma currently bearing down on the Caribbean and Florida, wildfires raging in Oregon, \u00a0and as September is National Disaster Preparedness Month, what better time to think about what we might do to ensure the welfare of our loved ones? Those of us who live in areas of the country that are particularly prone to extreme weather conditions or seismic activity may already have an emergency plan in place for family members, but have you included your pets in that strategy?<\/span><\/p>\n
