Yet if you know what to look for, your dog already does talk to you with his body language. \u00a0We list 7 feelings and the corresponding body language that your dog might display in communicating how he feels. \u00a0How good are you at reading a dog&#8217;s body language?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\"><strong>Happy<\/strong> &#8211; Wagging tail, moving in a relaxed way, soft focus eyes, mouth slightly open panting evenly and gently.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-4807 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.travall.com\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Dog-looking-happy.jpg\" alt=\"Happy dog reading your dog's body language\" width=\"515\" height=\"387\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.travall.com\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Dog-looking-happy.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/blog.travall.com\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Dog-looking-happy-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.travall.com\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Dog-looking-happy-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 515px) 100vw, 515px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\"><strong>Anxious<\/strong> &#8211; Sometimes a dog will wag his tail if he is anxious rather than happy. \u00a0This will be a slower movement at a slightly lower\u00a0position. Other signs of anxiety are eyes that are either narrow or wide and staring. \u00a0The dog may also yawn and lick his lips repeatedly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\"><strong>Afraid<\/strong> &#8211; How the dog shows this emotion will vary dramatically from dog to dog. \u00a0Some will try to make themselves as small as possible, others will stand very still while barking and growling, while others will roll on their backs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\"><strong>Angry<\/strong> &#8211; The dog will make himself look as big as possible. Their fur often will stand on end. They tend to put their weight forward over their front legs. Eyes wide and unblinking. \u00a0Stiff lips<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\"><strong>Relief<\/strong> &#8211; a dog suddenly relieved from his worries will charge around like crazy. \u00a0You will notice his facial expressions visibly relax.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\"><strong>Curious<\/strong> &#8211; If a dog is curious about something he will tend to cock his head\u00a0to one side. \u00a0Some dogs will lift one paw.
