In the UK we see a wide variety of cars on our roads. One of the most commonly seen these days is Volvo. This manufacturer offers a range of body styles from hatchbacks through to SUVs, but all offer the brand’s same core message – safety for drivers and passengers. \u00a0Volvo has long had a reputation in the UK for safety and the company has branded itself on this strength throughout the world. With the fashionable interest in all things “Scandi” we decided to take a closer look at this Swedish brand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The latin word Volvo means \u201cI spin\u201d or \u201cI roll\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was the first car manufacturer to introduce side-curtain airbags.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company was founded in 1924 by two Swedes, Gustav Larsson and Assar Gabrielsson.<\/span><\/p>\n
