So if you notice that the excessive drooling occurs mainly during car journeys, one or both of these issues may be the cause. It is worth talking to your vet about anxiety treatments to make your pup more comfortable. Some plants are toxic for dogs and can cause excessive drooling when ingested.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Try to pinpoint situations or triggers that make your dog drool more. Be aware of other symptoms your dog may have such as bad breath, weight loss, or mouth sensitivity issues.
