Here at Travall we are advocates of vehicle-specific car accessories because we know they offer the best fit for your car. Our range of dog guards, boot dividers, cargomats and floor mats are all vehicle specific to achieve a precision fit. A slight exception to our range is the new Travall TailGate, which comes in a handful of different model variables. Which model you purchase for your car depends on 3 different measurements taken in your boot. Because of this it is possible for a tailgate barrier to not only fit your existing vehicle, but (depending on the boot size) to fit future vehicles you purchase.
When purchasing any Travall product the best way to find what you need is to use the vehicle selector on our website. For many vehicles, you simply go through the website vehicle selector. After you input your vehicle specs, you will be shown all the products available for your car (Travall TailGate included). However, because the tailgate is such a new product, it has not been catalogued for every vehicle available. In this case you will be prompted to supply measurements from your boot. The Travall team can then let you know the appropriate model tailgate for the car you drive.
How to measure your boot for a Travall tailgate barrier
The first thing that you need to decide is how you want to have your boot space configured when using the Travall TailGate. Some Travall Dividers offer a centrally mounted position only, so your decision is already made. For those whose divider can be centrally mounted or offset, you simply choose the position of preference. The following diagram shows which measurements you would need to obtain based on the divider positioning. It is important to be aware that in the offset position (60:40 split) the tailgate is only available for the smaller portion of the boot.
