Monsal Trail – Peak District

The 8.5-mile long Monsal Trail runs through a small yet beautiful part of the Derbyshire Peak District – featuring some of its most stunning limestone dales. Monsal Trail is also home to four former railway tunnels of the Midland Railway Line that closed in 1968. The tunnels were opened to the public in 2011 and are each about 400 metres long.

Fallowfield Loop – Manchester

At roughly 8 miles long, the Fallowfield Loop in Greater Manchester is one of Britain’s largest urban cycleways and a former local railway route. The route is flat and well surfaced, making it a perfect choice for cyclists just getting started or those looking for a simple ride.

The route features a mix of promenade paths and quiet lanes and is mostly tarmac. It provides plenty of glorious views, including those of the historic Deal Castle.

Hamsterley Forest – Durham

With 2000 hectares of scenic woodland, Hamsterley Forest is a great cyclist destination with various routes available to tackle. The forest also contains a range of thrilling single track sections – making it a mountain biker’s paradise!

Causeway Coast Cycle Route – Northern Ireland
